Job Description/RequirementsChemonics seeks a monitoring, evaluation and learningspecialist for an anticipated education project in Kenya. TheConnectivity for Learning project aims to strengthen the Government ofKenya’s (GOK) education system to ensure that all classroom environmentsare high quality, inclusive, and focused on the learning offoundational literacy skills. The activity will also aim to expand itsdistance learning programming toward more digitally relevant andimpactful online learning solutions that are accessible to all students,especially children in the early primary grades.The monitoring, evaluation and learning director will collaborativelydesign the MEL approach to monitor and evaluate outcomes and applylearning and apply lessons learned; play a lead role interacting withKenyan counterparts, government institutions, donors, and other keystakeholders; and evaluate the program’s impact on systemsstrengthening, access, retention, and learning outcomes for literacy,numeracy and social and emotional learning and life skills.
