Operational Responsibilities / TasksOversee preparation of budget and annual procurement plan for the section.Review and approve payments and expenditure for section and ensurebudgets are adhered to and all control processes and procedures in placehave been complied with.Manage and develop staff capacity for the section setting and reviewof performance targets, managing disciplinary issues and ensuring thatthe Section’s operations are adequately staffed in terms of skills andnumbers.Lead and drive the development of facility management strategies and work plans; and ensure that these meet corporate needs.Operational Responsibilities / TasksFormulate and enforcing policies, procedures strategies and work plans for the Section.Formulation and development of acquisition and disposal plans for plant, machinery and equipment (scanners, generators, etc.)Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant statutory legislationCarry out a review of services provided by third party service providers to ensure that contractual obligations are met.Coordinate installation, operations, maintenance and repair of plant and equipment.Develop, review and update facility management policies; and ensuresensitisation of new policies to staff is carried out as and whenrequired.Effective management of utilities and service providers.Ensure equipment properly are managed and are regularly inspected to optimise performance.Review and approve Bills of Quantity and drawings and proposalsEnsure that there is a regular review and evaluation of servicesprovided by third parties and make recommendations to procurement onadherence to the SLAs.Job Dimensions:Financial ResponsibilityApproval of BudgetsApproval of expenditureApproval of Disposal of obsolete assetsReview and approval SAP requests2.
