The Connectivity for Learningproject aims to strengthen the Government of Kenya’s (GOK) educationsystem to ensure that all classroom environments are high quality,inclusive, and focused on the learning of foundational literacy skills.The activity will also aim to expand its distance learning programmingtoward more digitally relevant and impactful online learning solutionsthat are accessible to all students, especially children in the earlyprimary grades. We are looking for individuals who have a passion formaking a difference in the lives of people around the world.The ICT Specialist will be responsible for providing overallmanagement of ICT related work. The ICT Specialist shall assess ICTinfrastructure needs, formulating and directing information andcommunication technology (ICT) strategies, policies, and plans. The ICTSpecialist will also provide guidance and technical assistance to thetechnical and management teams and will be expected to liaise closelywith activity stakeholders, including but not limited to private sectoractors, NGOs, CSOs, government counterparts in support of ICT relatedinterventions.Qualifications:Master's degree in computer science, communications, or related field preferred.5 years relevant experienceExperience in analyzing current customer processes and needs toidentify gaps and inefficiencies and provide solutions for build/modifyICT systemsExperience in the translating customer needs to formal Business and IT requirementsExperience in evaluating various software products and technologies(including Open Source) against customer requirements to pick the bestfitExperience in design, development and support for Web Sites and Databases using latest softwareExperience in designing and developing ICT systems, especially Case Management Systems, preferredExperience in overseeing Software Development and Quality Assurance teams to deliver quality software systemsDemonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrityHow to applyApplication Instructions:Please send your CV and cover letter to the email addressKenyaRead@chemonics.onmicrosoft.com.
