With a sales office, warehouse and a rapidly growing team, we aim to further strengthen Jotun’s position in Kenya through ambitious market growth plans that focus on innovation, efficiency and profitability.We are looking for a dynamic HR Manager to support the business through strategic HR activities, strong communication skills, as well as the ability to coach and empower others.The position will be based in Nairobi and will report to the General Manager – Jotun Kenya.Job Responsibilities• Lead the HR function by utilising Jotun’s Leadership tools to develop, coach and guide its members to ensure a workforce which is competent, engaged and enabled to meet Jotun’s current and future needs• Responsible for all activities related to Human Resources within the company/area managed• Create and implement local policies and processes in line with Jotun’s Global and Regional policies and in adherence with local legal requirements• Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders including Regional HR to ensure that HR response and activities support and enhance overall business strategy• Act as a strategic business partner, and independently manage, all areas of Human Resources (e.g. Compensation & Benefits, Recruitment, Mobility, Labor law/relations, Organizational design, Leadership, and Strategic development of HR, to name a few).• Ensure Human Resource practices are at all time fit-for-purpose, supporting business strategy and helping to shape the company and its culture• Ensure legal and governmental commitments, compliance and requirements are met throughout all practiceQualifications• 4-6 years of solid leadership experience in Human Resource Management, preferably in SME’s• Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field• Knowledge of local labour law• Good understanding of business and market dynamics• Member of IHRM• Fluent in English and Swahili Personal Qualities• Builds a useful network of contacts and relationships and utilizes it to achieve objectives• Develops people through delegation, empowerment and coaching; promotes career development as well as self-development• Uses a methodical and systematic approach; plans ahead, defines clear priorities and allocates resources effectively• Quickly understands and analyzes complex issues and problems; comes up with sound and rational judgments• Demonstrates specialist knowledge and expertise in HR; participates in continuous professional development• Produces fresh and imaginative ideas and solutions; breaks away from tradition; promotes change and novelty We can offer• A friendly and supportive working environment• An international corporate culture founded on our four values; Care, Respect, Loyalty and Boldness• Opportunities for both personal and professional developmentApply by clicking the"Apply Now Button".
