Job Description/RequirementsReportingto the Emerging Consumer Director, the role holder will be responsiblefor growing the number of customers by developing innovative solutions(products, processes & technology) for individual & SME emergingconsumers using agile innovation model. He/She will also be responsibleto set up and own emerging consumers agile innovative models forsolution development inclusive of projects supporting consumer, productand process innovation. He/she must have a strong innovation deliveryrecord, proven and impressive innovation project leadership & agileproject management experience.Key responsibilitiesDrivegrowth of number of customers by developing innovative solutions(products, processes & technology) for individual & SME emergingconsumersDesign, Set up & own the agile innovative model for solution development within the segmentCollaborate with head of SMEs & alternate channels and externally in tailor-making solutions for potential clientsBy adopting agile way of working to drive customer centric innovation & speed to marketBy reviewing customer segments & build a data-driven view of their needsCollaboratewith the head of SMEs & alternate channels to identify unaddressedneeds in target segments & build targeted solutions.Execution of the emerging consumers innovation projects for the business ensuring use of agile methodology;Appraise projects for commercial viability;Coordination of innovation projects across the business to ensure timely and on-budget delivery;Ensure appropriate cross functional representation to deliver innovation projectsManage idea collaboration from stakeholders to drive a continuous pipeline of innovative solutions;Ensure innovation projects are managed with an urgent sense of testing, learning and delivery;Continuouslyscan the external and global environment for new products and solutionsthat will give Britam a competitive edge and with a focus on enhancedcustomer satisfaction and experience;Continuouslyidentify opportunities to partner with other organizations (beyondInsuretechs, Fintech, Banks etc.) to deepen insurance penetration in theregion;Develop and maintain strong professional and collaborative professional relations with project teams and stakeholders;Developand present proposals, update issues and findings to EMC Directorinclusive of suggestions, risk mitigations, cost benefit analysis andaction plans;Developcomplete project design and execution documents with task-level projectplans to manage external partners and cross functional teams;Collaborate with project team members to identify business requirements.Delegated Authority: As per the approved Delegated Authority MatrixPerform any other duties as may be assigned from time to timeKey Performance MeasuresDrive increase in number of customersDrive increase in EMC top-line salesIncrease go-to-market time for new & revised solutionsSetting up of design sprint solutions development processCommercial roll-out of three bite sized productsRollout of process innovations including Telematics, Digital wellness & any other identified during the yearDevelopment of Emerging consumers engagement strategyKnowledge, experience and qualifications requiredMinimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role with proven innovation experience;University degree in Engineering, IT or CommerceProject Management certification and experienceProven ability to review and appraise commercial viability of projectsMBA will be an added advantageLeadership category responsibility framework (Core Competencies)Change Leaders in Britam need toStrategically lead a function to service customers from a sustainable and growing customer base whilst increasing profit;Continuously configure and adapt the functional area to most effectively suite the future view of the business;Introduce new concepts so that they are adopted appropriately at the right time (manage the rate of change);Be in touch with the changing industry, customer needs and international best practice;Improve the efficiency of the function by appropriately challenging managers about operational and tactical issues;Ensurethe function has the most appropriate people capability througheffective inspirational leadership, people development, and optimizedsuccession planning;Ensure clarity of expectations for individuals in the function and other stakeholders across the group;Facilitate functional integration;Ensurethe development and establishment of appropriate behavior and values(culture) within the function that aligns with the strategic directionand values of the business;Co-ordinate between functions and divisions to ensure optimization of the value chain and resources;Ensure alignment of strategy, objectives and deliverables within the function;Develop innovative partnerships and distribution channels to increase Britam’s market penetration;Ensure a seamless experience for Customers;Appropriately allocate funds and capital to maximize shareholder value;Adequately manage operational risk;Increase operational efficiency;Provide access to accurate and consistent information and services across all channels,Improve quality and speed of decision making across the business.
