Job Description/RequirementsDEPARTMENT OF PHILOSOPHY AND RELIGIOUS STUDIESASSOCIATE PROFESSORS.QUALIFICATIONS:An earned PhD degree or equivalent degree from an accredited and recognized university in the following areas of specializationLogicMetaphysicsEthicsEpistemologyASSOCIATE PROFESSORQUALIFICATIONS:An earned Ph.D Degree from a recognized University with teachingexperience of at least three (3) years as a Senior Lecturer or SeniorResearcher in relevant fields or equivalent.Successfully supervised at least four (4) Masters Students and atleast one (1) Ph.D student after being appointed Senior Lecturer.A minimum of forty eight (48) publication points* as a SeniorLecturer or equivalent of which thirty two (32) should be in refereedjournals.Evidence of successfully applying for a grant either individually or as a group after being appointed as a Senior Lecturer.Evidence of active participation in departmental activities and good quality teachingEvidence of attendance and contribution at learning conferences, seminars and workshops.Current registration by relevant professional body.*Note:For teaching positions ,Publication Points shall be determined by Commission of University Education GuidelinesTERMS OF SERVICE:A competitive remuneration package which includes basic salary,generous house allowance, medical cover as per University Scheme willbe provided.For teaching positions above Tutorial Fellow, employment will be on permanent and pensionable terms.Tutorial Fellows are employed onone (1) year renewable contract, to a maximum of three (3) years.The applicants should provide full details of educational andprofessional qualification, work experience, present post and salary,applicant’s telephone number and e-mail addressCopies of certificates and testimonials should also be enclosedgiving the names and addresses of three (3) referees who are conversantwith the applicant’s competence in area of specialization.Applicants should write directly to:Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration)Kenyatta UniversityP.O.
